Celebrity Manager – £40-£45K – London – full-time, permanent

The organisation:

A health campaign

The role:

To lead on developing new and existing relationships with high profile people, including celebrities, to further fundraising and awareness raising activities for the organisation.

Working collaboratively with internal teams, especially fundraising, to manage and develop appropriate ‘asks’ of high profile supporters.

To internally advise on sensitive or high risk issues around high profile relationships and to manage these relationships to the organisation’s benefit.

The candidate:

Substantial experience of managing relationships with high-profile people and celebrities and knowledge of how to manage, influence and engage them appropriately.

Ideally a background working in a similar third sector organisation or a communications, broadcasting or media environment.

Excellent communication and influencing skills, highly diplomatic and personable and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and independently as required.

To lead a team to produce communications to internal and external audiences.

To develop and implement the organisation’s communication’s strategy including managing the brand identity, PR & the media nationally, regionally and locally.

The candidate:

Significant experience of developing & implementing communications – ideally in the charity sector to support campaigning and policy goals and other organisational objectives.

A media spokesperson with experience of appearing broadcast and print media.

The role:

To project manage the workload of the campaigns team and to build the capacity of all those involved in campaigning.

Working closely with the Campaigns Manager, to delegate activities and to monitor the
delivery of campaigns and projects.

To offer creative ideas regarding the team’s improvement and on-going efficiency and to communicate effectively internally.

The candidate: 

Strong public campaigning experience including on and offline methods.

Experience of developing and delivering campaigns and complex projects to set targets and budgets.

The ability to engage, support and build relationships with team members and more
widely across the organisation.

External Affairs Director – circa. £60k – full-time, permanent – central London

The organisation:

A health campaign

The role:

To lead a team of 19 staff covering campaigns, policy, public affairs, communications, information. Ensuring that strategies were in place and fully implemented and that staff were developed to the good of the campaign.

To oversee the development of policy together with analysis of the current political situation, then to campaign and communicate to decision makers and key stakeholders with the support of activists.

To direct the information gathering and dissemination to key internal and external stakeholders and the development of partners to benefit the campaign.

The candidate: 

5 year minimum of producing and implementing successful and impactful campaigns in the public affairs and activism arenas.

3 years minimum of working at a senior level with significant line management experience.

Significant experience in brand identity and awareness together with sold knowledge of digital media.

Campaigns and Policy Manager – 9 month minimum (maternity  cover contract) – £35-38k pro rata – central London

The organisation:

A children’s health campaign

The role:

An exciting opportunity to lead on the development of a new campaign, initiating high  quality research and developing strong policy recommendations and a campaigns
strategy and to act as media spokesperson on campaigns issues as required.

To develop relationships with parliamentarians and civil servants in all UK national, regional and local assemblies and bodies, and also stakeholder groups including families and relevant healthcare professionals.

To regularly commission and undertake policy research and reports in support of campaigns strategies, and to evaluate and communicate the impact of the organisations campaigning and policy activities, including producing board reports.

The candidate:

A minimum of 4 year’s experience in a campaigns or policy environment and a track record of successful lobbying at a UK national level.

Thorough understanding of parliamentary processes in Westminster and experience of commissioning policy research and reports.

Ideally experience of line management and the continued development of staff.

The role:

Working closely with the international campaigns team based in London, to firmly establish key campaigning strategies for the European region.

To work in a collaborative way with European colleagues in country offices and to maximise opportunities for cross organisational learning and working.

The candidate:

Extensive senior – level campaigning experience and demonstrable experience of developing and implementing successful campaigns strategies.

An exceptional leader with the ability to network at senior level, represent the organisation at all levels and to direct and gain commitment resulting in action.

A project manager with a proven track record of encouraging cooperation across teams internationally.

Social Media Manager – £27.5 -32k – full-time, permanent – central London

The organisation:

A disability campaign

The role:

To lead and develop social media strategies across the organisation to encourage and grow participation.

Developing key relationships within the organisation and on a day to day basis manage the flow of post and information requests from teams.

To mentor a volunteer team of moderators ensuring high standards are maintained.

The candidate:

Proven experience of managing social media projects including creating social media content – videos, news content etc.

Ability and experience developing online communities especially within a campaigns
environment.

Excellent creativity, good initiative, self motivated and sound judgement.

The role:

Planning and budgeting for press campaigns and positioning the organisation as an expert organisation within its field.

Producing press materials and information for briefings, also working internally with team members to promote the website and social media activities.

Briefing directors and key members of staff on press developments.

The candidate:

Minimum 3 years PR experience at a middle management level and proven experience
delivering powerful key campaigns messages.

The ability to read reports and turn them into polished, sophisticated and balanced press releases and briefs for journalists, also the ability to assimilate facts and translate complex information into simple language for the public and media.

Must be vegetarian or vegan.
